Contact and Deal Expected Dates and Next Step Dates

Contact Manager Calendar due dates

Expected Dates for deals and Next Step dates for deal and contacts are items that appear on your calendar as a visual clue or reminder. They are automatically derived from your deals and contacts.

All Day and Multiple Day Appointments

Outlook style appointments CRM Software

All day appointments

Any event that has been checked as an All Day appointment will appear in the top area of the calendar.

Multiple day appointments

Any appointment that spans more than one day will appear in the top area of the calendar. For example an appointment that starts at 8:30 AM on Monday and ends at 1:00 PM on Tuesday will appear in the top area of the calendar, not in the hour-by-hour area.

Appointments And Tasks

You can manage your time and the tasks you perform through the Calendar & Tasks tab. In addition, you can gain insight into your deals and the expected dates for closing them. The major elements you work with are appointments, reminders, expected dates, and tasks.

Desktop Sales Manager on Windows 7

Feedback from a Software On Sailboats customer on running Desktop Sales Manager under Windows 7:
1) Upgrade from Windows Home Premium to Ultimate because Home doesn't have Windows XP Mode. Both Windows Pro and Ultimate have XP Mode included for free.
2) Download and install Windows XP Mode and Virtual Machine from Microsoft
3) Download DSM 6.7.3.4 from this site and install
4) You'll be asked to install .Net framework during DSM twice (once for 1.1 and then a service pack)
5) Restart XP Mode, then you are ready to go. Appears to run just fine.

Exporting Deals

You may export Deal information for use outside of Desktop Sales Office - like in an order processing system or Excel.

Choosing Which Deals To Export

Deals in the Deals list are exported. Deals that are in your pipeline but filtered from the Deal list are not exported.
